Welcome dear friend to the location of the second series in the “Letting God Build Your House” program. This series is called THE FAMILY FRAMERS SERIES; and builds upon our first series of teachings (FAMILY FOUNDATIONS). As our blueprint shows, God builds upon the sure foundation of His own dear Son, Jesus Christ I Corinthians 3:11 says “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” Just prior to this the Apostle Paul told the Corinthian church that they were “laborers together with God “ in this building process (verse 9); and that they needed to “take heed “ how they would build upon this foundation (verse 10). And so, in THE FAMILY FRAMERS SERIES, we will carefully add new concepts from God’s Word that will complement and expand upon what we have taught thus far. So let’s first of all overview the next 24 lessons by numbered volume and look into some of the topical areas available for study in this series.
THE FAMILY FRAMERS SERIES is divided into six topical volumes as follows:
Volume I - Lifelong Parenting Dynamics Volume II - Skillfully Handling The Sword Of The Spirit Volume III - Turmoil, Trial, And Troubled Times Volume IV - Leadership School Is In Session Volume V - Counting The High Cost Of Commitment Volume VI - Staying Connected With God
Each of these volumes contains four lessons dealing with different aspects of the individual volumes’ theme. The following is a listing of each lesson by title, and a brief synopsis of the the lessons contents to aid in your selection. These lessons, in the format of sermons, were preached to real people with real-life challenges just like you and I face every day. May the Lord help you find in HIS word the help that you need as you submit to HIS will for your life, and “Let God Build Your House”.

13. Spiritual Skills Required For Effective Christian Parenting – Brain surgeons, dentists, engineers, teachers... all require years of training and practicum before they are licensed to practice. Let’s get started, right away! Download audio Download handout 14. Stewardship – “Using God-Given Resources To Achieve God-Given Goals” – This definition quoted from Dr. Ron Blue reveals our need for close fellowship with God if we are to fulfill HIS purposes with the blessings He has bestowed upon us. There are so many “brands” of Christianity today, are they all okay in how they follow Christ? Jesus was very blunt and crystal clear about the way His followers were to live if they were to be His true disciples. If our families, churches and our lives are to be profitable to God and pleasing in His sight, then we must be willing to obey these personal commands of our Master. Download audio 18. Are You Ready To Be Offered ? – The scene is a fearsome yet inspiring one. Families huddled and praying in the sand of the Roman arena, while hungry lions approach on all sides. All these fathers and mothers had to do to save the lives of their children and their own lives was renounce their belief in Christ. Yet, by the thousands, they would not. Today, throughout the word thousands are killed and tortured for their faith every month. Never in America? Don’t be so sure. Would you and your family be ready? Here’s how to prepare. Life is short, James 4:14 describes it as ...”a vapor, that appeareth for a little time and then vanisheth away.” What will you teach your children about the meaning of their life? Here’s help. Download audio 20. More Than These – Just before Jesus went back to heaven, He visited Peter and challenged him with these words “lovest thou me?” three times. VI. Staying Connected With God
21. Committing Your Family To Prayer – Almost every Christian is aware of the need for prayer in their life. As we face the great challenge of honoring God in our homes, there are many areas of concern which cry out for attention, yet none are as important as state of our personal and family prayer life. This study will encourage you in making this vital commitment. Download audio 22. A Need For Repentance – Truly contrite repentance in response to Holy Spirit conviction, is the only basis for forgiveness, and the absolute essential for our salvation. Yet, we see little evidence of it in our church services and even less in our revival efforts. Could it be that we have turned the generational crank and we now have a group of Christians that is unfamiliar with what constitutes real repentance? Time for a refresher course! Download audio 23. Why Christians (And Christian Families) Don’t Pray – An in-depth examination reveals some worrisome results. Prayerless and powerless Christians and their families do not have to remain that way. Many have testified of this message as being the turning point in their personal and family prayer life. Download audio 24. Experiencing A Real Family Altar – The family altar (prayer time together) is for many families simply a chore rather than a blessing.
