Bro. Ernie Perham was born in northern New York in the summer of 1948, and was brought up in a close and loving Catholic family. After graduation from high school, he attended the State University College at Brockport, NY. There he majored in Health and Physical Education; graduating with a bachelors degree in 1970. Trained as a teacher and coach, Bro. Perham worked at the public high school level for serveral years. While at Brockport, Bro. Ernie was severely injured and subsequently paralyzed for a time by a life-threatening trampoline accident which caused physical limitations. Although he fully recovered, the accident shifted his career into the field of health care administration where he served as a nursing home administrator and assistant hospital administrator for 11 years. This career change providentially brought Bro. Perham and his family to northwest Arkansas, where he, at a later time would be saved. Bro. Ernie and his wife Linda both trusted Christ as Saviour at a camp meeting in July of 1981. Soon after being saved and baptized, God called Bro. Perham to preach and he began preaching in the small mountain churches in the area. To prepare for the further ministry, he attended Pensacola Christian College for five years and earned a masters degree in Bible-Theology in the spring of 1986. Three months later, God called him to the gulf coast of Mississippi, where Bro. Perham served as pastor for 8 1/2 years. During his ministry there, Bro. Ernie was presented with an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Louisiana Baptist University in Shreveport, LA. In the fall of 1995 Bro. Perham answered the Lord's call to evangelism and has since served as a prison missionary/evangelist for nearly two years, and in March of 1997 founded Godly Heritage Ministries - a specific ministry to the home and family. Bro. Perham and his wife have 12 children, 11 of whom are adopted, 10 who have "special needs." They currently live on a farm in central Kentucky and serve the Lord as a family; singing, testifying, and preaching across America.
